The services we offer through the live in program include:
A common task often left to home health caregivers is bathing the client. Family members may not be able to help the client take care of their hygiene needs due to health problems of their own. A qualified caregiver can help the client bathe or shower and dress without causing them harm or risking a fall.
Dressing and Grooming
Our caregivers provide a wide range of services that include hands on care. For clients who are capable of doing many things on their own, we can provide supervision as well as assistance if they feel they need a little help. Our staff members assist with:
Personal Care Including: hair and skin care, oral hygiene and the application of lotions and ointments
Dressing and Grooming: picking out appropriate clothing, dressing and help with grooming
As seniors age, it becomes more difficult to get where they need to go. Some no longer drive and need to be taken to the grocery store or hair salon. Jewish Tradition Home Care staff members are able to offer seniors the ride they need to take care of the simple things. Going shopping, out to eat or to get their hair done are just a few of the errands we will help our clients with.
Maintaining a clean, well organized home is important for the client's health. Our staff members help client's with light housecleaning as well as various tasks involving home maintenance. Keeping bathrooms and kitchens clean are important to prevent the spread of bacteria and molds that are known to cause illness and upper respiratory problems. Caregivers also help to keep bedrooms in order by changing linens regularly or as needed.
Our caregivers are able to help prepare healthy meals and assist with the clean up. They can prepare vegetarian and kosher meals for their clients who desire them. Caregivers are able to help with tasks that a client may not be able to perform anymore due to arthritis or other health problems.
Caregivers perform many tasks when it comes to taking care of their client's medications and supplements. These tasks include:
While our specialty will always remain non-medical in home care, we are affiliated with several organizations that we can rely on to provide staff members capable of rendering almost any level of care needed. These include:
We specially train our staff members in offering toileting assistance and incontinence care. They are able to care for clients who require all levels of assistance from minor care to bed-bound clients who use diapers. We provide professional care that allows clients to feel confident and secure knowing their needs will be handled discreetly.
